My fig tree looks healthy but will not grow any bigger, the leaves just get bigger??

Fig trees do not need lots of room for their roots. They thrive best if the soil is chalky and mixed with crushed rubble and bricks. There's no need for manure. Fruits is borne on the previous years wood. Prune back new shoots to one bud. They should be placed on south facing side. Water well in summer and mulch in May.
