Why does a higher amount of DNA precipitate from animal substances than from a vegetable during DNA extraction?

I am currently in the process of writing up an experiment for DNA extraction. Substances under testing included Sheeps liver, Carrot and an Egg. I need to explain why a significantly higher amount of DNA precipitated from the animal substances (egg and sheeps liver) than from the vegetable (carrot). Help!
