Do tadpoles need a filter?

I was bringing some water home from a pond to look at under my microscope, and I discovered a tadpole in it. I put him in a small tank with gravel and logs, and am feeding him boiled lettuce and spinach, along with commercial tadpole and frog food. I want to know if I should put a filter in the tank to add oxygen to the water. Please tell me!!
