Why is Scottie Pippen so grossly underrated by proponents of the "MJ is the GOAT" theory?

Well, Michael dominated the highlights since Day 1. The underrated label that Pippen got is accurate. His defense allowed Jordan to roam and freelance. Jordan was a great defender, but Pippen did inflate his numbers to an extent, especially in terms of steals and those old highlight blocks by Jordan. Pippen often covered for Jordan. He was a better teammate than MJ, for the most part. Despite his image, MJ would ride teammates needlessly to the point of them asking for trades or becoming free agents. MJ also fought Steve Kerr when Kerr didn't back down from him. MJ wound p getting thrown out of practice. Bill Cartwright threatened him when MJ pulled his garbage with him too. Just look back at all the Bulls rosters during the MJ era, most of the subtractions and trades are linked to MJ's starting beef which usually wasn't necessary. Pippen himself even confirmed these stories on ESPN's 50 Greatest Athletes doentary on MJ, and those two were/are tight as hell. It still airs on ESPN2 & ESPN Clic. Pippen's only strike was when he sat out when he couldn't take the last shot against the Knicks in the 1994 playoffs.
